Scholarship Application
Liberian Awards seeks to encourage the academic and professional development of college students in the Diaspora through financial scholarship and mentorship. In 2011, the organization will be increasing the number of scholarships given to ten (compared to three in 2010). Ten students will each receive $500 scholarship and a mentor in their area of study. The deadline for all scholarship applications is June 1, 2011.
Application Requirements

- Email all additional requirements to scholarships@liberianawards.com or mail to P.O. Box 7565, Newark, DE 19714
- All recipients are required to attend the Liberian Awards Event or forfeit scholarship benefits
High School Seniors Requirements
- Liberian Descent
- Attending US college in Fall 2011
- Minimum GPA 3.5
- Community Service
- Leadership Traits
- College Acceptance Letter
- 2 Recommendation Letters (non relatives)
- Complete Scholarship Form
- Copy of Transcript (Official may be requested for finalists)
- Essay: Where will you be in the next ten years and how will your role impact Liberia? (Discuss how you intend to achieve your dreams and how past behavior demonstrates your ability to reach your goals)
College Students Requirements

- 2 Recommendation Letters (non relatives)
