Scholarship Application
Liberian Awards supports the academic and professional development of college students in the
Diaspora through financial scholarship and mentorship. We have awarded $7000 in scholarships and
educational resources since 2010.
Application Requirements
- Deadline for the scholarship is June 1 2012
- Email all application electronically to scholarships@liberianawards.com
- Emailed recommendation letters must come from a professional email address
- All scholarship recipients must attend Awards event and participate in mandatory activities
High School Seniors Requirements
- Liberian Descent
- Attending US college in Fall 2012
- Minimum GPA 3.5
- Community Service
- Leadership Traits
- College Acceptance Letter
- 2 Recommendation Letters (non relatives)
- Complete Scholarship Form
- Copy of Transcript (Official may be requested for finalists)
- Essay: Where will you be in the next ten years and how will your role impact Liberia? (Discuss how you intend to achieve your dreams and how past behavior demonstrates your ability to reach your goals)
College Students Requirements
- Liberian Descent
- Attending US college in Fall 2012

- 2011 Fall Class Schedule
- 2 Recommendation Letters (non relatives)
- Complete Scholarship Form
